Dear NWES Families,
On behalf of the PTO, we would like to welcome everyone back to school. We are so excited for the new school year and hope you are too!
WHO we are: PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization and consists of parents and teachers working together to support and enrich all students. We support staff, help promote student engagement through school wide events, and assist in efforts to solve school needs through volunteering and funding.
WHAT we do: Our primary goal as a PTO is to provide our school with funds, programs, and resources to enrich and maximize the education of every child and to benefit the school. To meet this goal we fundraise. Our goal is to always be One and Done when it comes to direct sales fundraisers. We get behind ONE fundraiser and give it our all in September so that we can earn the funds and start to focus on implementing our programs and goals. Our hugely successful Boosterthon Fun Run is that one fundraiser for us! It is a lot of fun, the kids love it, it is great exercise, and it teaches strong core values. The best part is that it allows us to keep 75% of all the money raised!
WHEN we meet: We meet the 2nd Monday of each month at 6pm. Our first meeting will be September 9, 2024 at 6pm in the school cafeteria.
WHY you should be involved:
The PTO continues to exist here at NWES only because of its volunteers. That is why YOU are so important. We need your help and so do your children. A special thanks to all the volunteers from last year for all their hard work and dedication. If you are interested in finding ways to help, please reach out to one of our members. Per county policy, all volunteers must complete and turn in a background check form (these can be found under the Forms tab).
